I chose this topic because it affects a lot of people who are part of my community. Minority students specifically. I focused on their struggles and why they have these, how it affects us, and possible solutions. Of course it’s hard to change this but speaking up about it is necessary to make an impact. Some obstacles I faced while putting this documentary together were having to figure out what software I would use. To be honest I was really stressed at the moment, I just opened iMovie on my tablet because I remembered my cousin and I had made a funny trailer on there. Things I need to consider about my audience when constructing my persuasive argument: Since I’ll be talking about how college cost affects certain groups more than others, I have to consider not leaving out some groups I won’t be focusing on but still will/plan include to talk about. My audience is college students and we’re all affected by college cost so I feel that they will be understanding but some may disagree with my argument and that’s fine because we all gave different views. I’ll be respectful of others’ views and back up my argument with my previous research so I’m not making assumptions or misinformation.
